In The Fire Light:
SALVATION “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." Isaiah 1:18
TRANSFIGURATION "And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them." Mark 9:3
RESURRECTION "And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow." Matthew 28:3
REVELATION "The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire" Revelation 1:14
After Communion yesterday morning Camille and I were in the "overflow". This is how we describe what happens after we encounter Jesus. When we eat the bread and drink from the cup we receive a remembrance from Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We each share our experiences. While eating the bread Camille saw Jesus shoulders up. She was looking into His face and she said in her heart, "He is perfect! So beautiful." Then drinking from the cup, "He was standing before me and I was walking around Him and said in my heart 'He is altogether lovely.'" Then in my heart I began crying out to Him, "Come back soon. Please Lord, Come back soon." I said this again and again and began to physically cry.
As she described this I was overcome by the presence of the Lord as well and I began to cry with her. They were tears of joy because of the strength of His presence and a yearning in our hearts to be with Him. When you see the Lord in the CommunionFire it makes you want to be with Him even more. By the end of the book of Revelations we see that the final prayer of the Church worldwide all at once is: "Even so, Come Lord Jesus." Reveleation 22:20. What makes (you, me and all believers) the Church so passionate for His return?
Is it difficulty, persecution and a sense of futility as though it is our last desperate prayer, "Please Lord, You better come back soon?"
Not at all! It is a Church who is so captivated and in love with Jesus that our heart pounds with His. Like two lovers who can think of nothing else. Do you want to be with Jesus? Are you desperately in love with Him? Do you daydream about Him and think about Him as 'altogether lovely'?
Then it happened!
While we were talking, I was carried away momentarily in the Spirit into a town where I saw a blizzard. It was a powerful storm. I looked and the flakes were not snow but bread. The Holy Spirit was saying that "Communion is being poured out like bread from heaven. Like a blizzard white as snow - everything was covered with the bread of Communion. I saw homes where individuals, couples, families and groups of people gathered to share the bread and the cup of Communion. Churches were filled and packed with people who were sharing with each other about their encounters with Jesus. The images were strong and filled with heavenly light. It was a revival being born through the CommunionFire and it spread as quickly as the wind blew in the storm.
Communion is the doorway into the CommunionFire. Eating the bread pulls back our blindness and opens our eyes that we might see Him! When we do we are transformed (again). Being in the presence of Jesus alters everything. Everything becomes new. We are in His glory and His glory comes upon us. When we drink the wine His life flows into us. His Spirit quickens our understanding and we are empowered by what He shares with us. Our Communion with Him becomes Communion with each other when we share about our encounters with the Lord. "To this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living." Romans 14:9
"Lord Jesus, I pray for everyone who loves you to come to your table and to feast upon your perfection and loveliness. Let us taste and see that you are good and know your mercy first hand. I pray that the passion of your love awakens our hearts as we come into your presence. Then may we lead with your mercy to share the fire of your love with those you bring across our path each day." Amen
