In the Fire Light: 8am Our experience (Camille and Bob) this morning...
The Bread His Body: Camille laid down beside the Shepherd. Sometimes we just need to rest in His presence. He likes it when we do. A lamb is so vulnerable especially when resting or sleeping.
Then Drinking from the Cup, the wine His blood: I saw Jesus at the Table. It was the scene from "The Bible" when Jesus shared Communion with passion and intensity. The Lord gave me the sense that He is the one who inspired the production of that scene - as though He 'meant it to be. Then He said to me, "I am passionate about Communion." There was the sense that with that being said He was also saying that we should be passionate about Communion.
The Bread His Body: While eating the bread I could hear myself munching and chewing and it became the sound of a campfire in Valley Forge during the Revolution. Jesus was wrapped up in warm clothes and with His hands over the fire warming them He invited me to join Him. He said, "CommunionFire is to warm the cold until they are so warm (scene change we are suddenly at the beach) it will be like being in the heat of the summer sun."
Then Drinking from the Cup, the wine His blood: The whisper of the Holy Spirit, "You've heard it said as the sands of the sea and the stars of the sky I draw them all to me." It was as the sense that the Holy Spirit is drawing all who will come to the CommunionFire, the Table of the Lord. It is a salvation meal for anyone who will come.
Overflow: Between the two, Camille and I could see the Lord speaking about a similar thing. We rest in Him next to Him while the Holy Spirit is busy drawing others to Him. As we share the passion He has for Communion and join Him by the fire, even where it is cold, it warms us. His presence transforms us until we feel more than warmth, we feel the heat of CommunionFire.
When we are with Him, in His presence, others are drawn to follow the good Shepherd as we do. Others are drawn to to follow Him to share Grace at His Table.
Prayer: "Lord, fill me with your passion to receive your Communion. Let each day begin with the bread and wine you offer. I pray my life might shine bright with the Light of your fire in my heart today and everyday so that others may see you and find you through me."
