The Vision Statement for Renewal in Communion
and Sharing the Message of The Miracle of CommunionFire
I. COMMUNION A GIFT OF GRACE
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We, who are drawn to this blessing, will try to come to The Lord’s Table at least once per day or as often as possible, personally or with others, to receive Holy Communion by eating the blessed bread of His Flesh, His Body broken for us and drinking from the Cup of the New and Everlasting Covenant, the blessed fruit of the vine, the wine of His Blood to remember JESUS.
II. COMMUNIONFIRE
A NEW WINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16, Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 2:16-21, 2:38-47, 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, 4:18, Revelation 19:10
Through Holy Communion we look to commune with the Lord JESUS through our blessed encounter with Him in the Love Feast established by Him. We also receive the remembrance offered to us by the Holy Spirit as He places His sense into our hearts and brings the Words of JESUS to our hearts to deepen our Communion with Him. We will try, when possible, to take a moment of to exchange our experiences with each other by the leading of the Holy Spirit to deepen our communion with each other in the Body of Christ. Some will journal their experiences to quickly document those things that the Lord shows us and the Holy Spirit tells us one way to document our witness.
III. JESUS PREPARES THE TABLE
Revelation 3:20, Psalm 23, John 10:2-4
We seek to follow the Lord JESUS as our Good Shepherd and follow Him to any table He prepares for us anywhere at any time.
IV. COMMUNION IS AN OPEN TABLE
Luke 13:29-30, Mark 10:14, Matthew 5:6, 11:28, John 7:37, 17, Revelation 19:9
We believe we are called to share Communion and the experience of CommunionFire with anyone the Lord leads us to or leads to us. It is an open Table to all who will come and see.
V. GREAT COMMISSION – REACH THE WORLD BY ANY MEANS EVERYWHERE
Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-18, Acts 1:8
Jesus also invites us to compel others who are weary, hungry and thirsty to taste and see His goodness; to reach out to the worshipers to bring renewal and refreshing from the presence of the Lord; and the workers of the Gospel to stoke the fires of revival where ever they may be.
VI. PROCLAIMING THE LORD’S DEATH AND RETURN
John 6:39-40, 44, 51, 17:4, 19:30, Romans 10:9-10, 14:9, 1 Corinthians 11:26,
Through sharing CommunionFire, we declare the victorious death of JESUS before all, seen and unseen. By doing so we grow stronger: in His Grace, in The Faith, in God’s Purpose and in the Holy Communion of His Saints, Body of Christ, His Church.
VII. THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH COMMUNION
Jesus promises us in John 6:54 “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” This is what we want to convey as directed and energized by the Holy Spirit, to a lost, sick and dying world so that all who hear Him and open the door of their lives to Him will dine with Him and Him with them now and forever.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Under Pontius Pilate, He was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
