In The Fire Light: "But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it." Matthew 13:16-17
Seven Parables of Matthew 13 are given by Jesus to those who see, hear and understand. This brings about miraculous transformation and healing! The parables are about those who value eternal life and those who don't. They address everyone but have specific application to those alive in the last days.
Jesus spoke in parables to reveal the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. He did not say anything to them without using a parable.
“I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.” Matthew 13:35
Many times Jesus reveals Himself to us in parables. He does so in the most remarkable ways. It's like He is telling us a quick story by doing a Kingdom of Heaven 'show and tell'. Simple yet profound. This is true when we encounter Him in the Light of Communion. He shows and tells us things quickly in a way we know its Him and in a way designed for us to understand. He meets us as we are, where we are for who we are.
It is so wonderful we are hardly aware that He is simultaneously sharing His presence and altering our life at the same time! He shares what He has for us in a matter of seconds and usually doesn't say much more than a phrase or a simple scripture.
Here is an example of a personal experienced.
SEEING - While Eating the Bread: I saw Jesus sitting on the edge of a garden across from 4 year old friend of ours named Anna. A bunny hopped by and then a frog. Anna and Jesus were smiling. It was a beautiful day and the scene was flooded with sunshine. From the right I saw my youngest grand daughter who was younger than Anna come up and look at Anna's smile and then look at Jesus and she let the Lord know she wanted to know Jesus too. (The whole scenario happened in about 10 seconds.)
HEARING - While Drinking the Wine: I heard the Holy Spirit whisper, "His yoke is easy. His burden is light!" I heard this as quickly as I drank the wine.
UNDERSTANDING - Then my heart understood: The yoke is to "sit down at the garden". The burden is to "enjoy the moment!"This experience dispelled the false notion that sharing the yoke and burden of Jesus had anything to do with labor. What I learned was that Jesus enjoys the garden, the children, the animals and the sunshine.
HEALING - The experience taught me to see this verse in a new way and thereby understand Jesus in a new way. His yoke is easy and burden light because He has already done the work. He wants me to share in the benefit of what He has already accomplished. It was then that a huge weight of misunderstanding that I had carried around for years had lifted from me.
CONVERSION - In the overflow I realized I always thought I had to DO something. The lie was dismissed by the revelation of Jesus in that simple garden and His still small voice. There is nothing we can do to be invited to that place next to Him.
"Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear." Matthew 13:43
CommunionFire helps us to understand the righteousness, peace and joy of His Spirit and It shapes our hope and faith by giving us a glimpse of the realty of eternal life. We are not confounded so much by His endless knowledge and wisdom but by His gentle love, personal understanding and attention.
"Delight in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Trust in the Lord and do good then you shall dwell in the land and be fed!" Psalm 37
Prayer: "Lord Jesus, ruler of all creation let us be still and look to you as we receive your Body and Blood in Communion. Then amaze us with what you are waiting so patiently to share with us. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to understand that you can mold us and make us after your will and fill us with your eternal life." Amen.
