CommunionFire in Scripture
Chapter Two
Flesh & Blood Has Not Revealed this to You
As we were sharing Communion and encountered the Lord JESUS and heard His voice we shared, "This is so simple yet so profound. In Emmaus Jesus blessed and broke the bread and it was only then that their eyes were opened and they recognized Him!" then Jesus disappeared!
Then they immediately traveled 7 miles back to Jerusalem to tell the disciples that they had seen Jesus when He broke and blessed the bread, Jesus re-appeared in that room instantly.
Why is this so relevant today? Why is this so important?
It is about revelation. When God reveals it means: He is pulling back the natural veil to reveal the hidden place. As if a cover is taken off to reveal the contents or opening the door of the cabin or hut to enter in. We look to the Lord to give us heavenly food from His dwelling of telling – as from a specific place, for example at Bethel, the angels of heaven are ascending and descending to the earth. What we see with our natural eyes is temporary and what we see with the eyes of our spirit is eternal. Jesus made a way for us to meet with Him
Our action to "do as He asked" in having Communion is the way Jesus left for us to 'remember He is here' where we can encounter Him. God wouldn't give us a random mechanical act to repeat again and again if He hadn't designed it for something to take place. The Miracle of CommunionFire is when He opens our eyes to see and recognize Him - it is where we have a 'revelation' of Him and from Him. (1 Corinthians 13:12, 2 Corinthians 3:18) and it happens every time we sit at His Table. Sometimes it is a look from Him or a touch. Sometimes it is healing and sometimes it is being engulfed in His presence. Sometimes it is a sense and sometimes its a high res experience in full color. Whatever it is each encounter is one more step to unveiling the eternal reality that breathes faith, love and life into us that cannot be explained.
"The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven...you cannot even interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away. (The 'sign of Jonah may refer to 3 days in the belly of the whale then 'resurrection' but see how Jesus speaks to Peter's name in 3 different ways in the same conversation. "Simon Peter" (who he is), "Simon BarJonah" (who he is becoming and "Peter Petros/Cephus" (and who He will be - the "Petros" becomes a part of the "Petra") all through the process of having eyes open to see JESUS at the Table and to 'recognize' Him - as He is for who He is, as He is.
It is through ongoing encounters with JESUS at His Table that we become more and more fully who He made us to be, until the full day, when we will sit in His House at His banqueting Table forever!
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar/Jonah (Son of Jonah the Israeli prophet from Yonah - Son of the Dove, Son of the Wine; as if at a Banquet, the fermented grape, wine, at a banquet (Table) from yayin "Eyes of Doves" see: Song 1:15, 2:14, 4:1, 5:2, 5:12, 6:9 “Eyes of prophetic wine” Vision by means of the Holy Spirit
for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven (Heaven: ouranos - happiness/heavenly/power, air, the dwelling place of God (supernatural event). As if "The Kingdom of Heaven" and who is in heaven, the dwelling place of the Father, vaulted expanse of the sky, not of the earth, birds of the air) supernaturally disclosed.
And I tell you that you are Peter Képhas - (petros) as in boulder, larger than a stone
and on this rock (of revelation) (f. petra) (mass of connected rock, massive rock formation; as if massive form of rock solid revelation; as if Petros SEES the Petra – the house built on solid rock, not sand) foundation built by revelation.
I will build from oikodomeó as in 'erect a building, building up of character, edify, encourage; help stand, become strong, sturdy' from oikodomé ►spiritually strengthen, ‘oiko’ build + ‘dome’ architectural base; con’firm’ation )
my church from ekklésia ► ekklēsía(from ek, "out from and to" and kaléō, "to call") – properly, people called out from the world and to God, the outcome being the Church (the mystical/supernatural body of Christ) the universal (total) body of believers whom God calls out from the world and into His eternal kingdom.
Our Communion with JESUS and one another deepens through day to day revelation from being in His presence, the CommunionFire.
Revelation is the brick and mortar of the Kingdom of God.
