Verse 1: "THE Song of Songs", which is Solomon's
It is almost staggering to understand how many references are found in just the first two chapters of this amazing book to what people have encountered in CommunionFire in the past week! We are learning first hand about the power of the love of JESUS to stir our hearts with a deepening sense of how intimate His love is. Here are but a few documented examples... but there are many more not listed here...
Verse 2: “Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth for thy love is better than wine.” (Note He kisses us first. He loves us first. He comes to us in CommunionFire. He invites us to His Table. He provides the love feast. He is the love feast. We encounter His “kiss”! His presence is that intimate and causes a reaction inside us. We think new thoughts. We hear new words. We sense His love, kindness, gentleness and care.
In Home Communion last Monday: Camille felt His kiss – it had the taste of wine!
I just wrote a blog post Feb. 19th http://visionbreadtoday.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/the-new-worship-model-from-communionfire-vii.html that described the attributes of “worship” as the “kissing ground” (place of intimacy with the Lord).
More than a half dozen reported encounters with His love as wine. Water became wine and flowed like a river. A rhema whisper from the Holy Spirit, “the wine fills you with My life.”
Verse 3: "Because of the savor of your anointing your name is like anointing poured out that’s why he virgins love you."
In a home group Karen shared that she ate the bread and it tasted of salt then in the wine heard water trickle then rushing turned to wine over the salt rock and vines grew out of it. Instead of grapes, purple fireworks came from the vine! This is just one example. There have been many including one person who said they felt JESUS anoint them on the forehead. At the name of JESUS our hearts begin to pound with excitement anticipating what else He wants to share with us. He brings us to his table to give until we almost feel overwhelmed!
Verse 4: "Draw me (Call me) and we will run after you! The King brings us into His chambers; we will be glad and rejoice in you. We will remember your love more than wine! The upright love you!"
This past Thursday Jess stood up and with passion shared how Jesus was on a narrow but beautiful path going through the woods. Jesus motioned and said, “Come on Jess… follow me!” Jess said, “But Lord I can’t run that fast!” Jesus is full of love, energy and Jess said that what JESUS was talking about was, “This (CommunionFire) will be a quick work! It will happen fast. (See post http://visionbreadtoday.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/communionfire-in-carolina-forest.html )
There are already two references in 4 verses to the wine. Then we have “We will remember you” as in “Do this to remember me” in Paul’s description of communion.
What is a love song? It is something inspired by real experiences. It is about a romance and relationships. It is inspired by love. Our encounters in CommunionFire are love encounters with our Lord and Savior JESUS Christ. His name is Savior, Lord, King, Prince of Peace, Everlasting Father, The great I Am that I Am, My Healer, My Deliverer, My Provider, My fair one, My lover, our Groom and Shepherd! Saying His name triggers the outpouring of His love. We are anointed with His grace and touched by His mercy.
Today there were seven of us having CommunionFire Fellowship and Ronnie said she just heard the word “Sweet”. We were reading Song of Solomon together with each person, going around the table reading in turn. Ronnie read, “O my dove in the cleft of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for SWEET is your voice and your countenance is peaceful and calm.” 2:14
Right before that was my wife’s turn to read and she read verses 2:7-13 and just the other day (see http://visionbreadtoday.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/naphtali-notesturn-my-beloved-be-like-a-gazelle.html) my wife and I had an amazing series of images that were very much visible from these very verses!
What are the odds that they would be sitting where the reading would stop on the verse that related to their Communion experience? Hint: He prearranged it!
We are going to be sharing about Solomon’s CommunionFire Song. What we read is what we experience in sitting at His Table and feasting on His love and life. Verse 2:14 could be a Mission Statement for CommunionFire because this is what happens when we gather to share the Bread & the Cup.
The other miracle we realized is happening is that people like Joe said, “I’ve learned more about Communion in the past couple of weeks than I learned about in 8 years of religious school.”
What we realize is that because of CommunionFire meetings and gatherings – people are talking about the very thing JESUS asked us to do. “Do this to remember me”. Now, people are talking about Communion, CommunionFire. When was your last conversation about communion? When was the last time you shared it or talked about it at home? Better yet, start having communion and look for JESUS in the breaking of the bread. Listen for His voice when drinking the wine.
Let Him share the kiss of his presence with you and draw you into running with Him! Run like the gazelles skipping over rivers and streams, from hilltop to hilltop and leaping from mountain to mountain right into eternal life!
