We were joined by members of the Childress Home Group and folks who gathered to share the Bread of Life and the Cup of the New and Everlasting Covenant.
Kevin saw the presence of Jesus 'like a mist or smoke' filling the room. Two people were set free as the presence of Jesus filled the room driving out darkness, fear ad oppression. We were not able to get to everyone to share their encounters... but many did. (I think next time we will break down into smaller groups after Communion so that all have a chance to share - what do you think?)
Several people commented that during the breaking of the bread the presence of the JESUS was very powerful, almost tangible. One person described it like a 'quiet bomb' as if the peace explodes when we are in the presence of JESUS. the first CF Orientaion
During the bread Paul saw what looked like unending train tracks and then during the blessing of the wine he saw a very bright light at the end coming toward Him. Another brother shared that during Communion he saw a piece of gold foil and that it meant a New Beginning tonight. "It was like a gift".
The stories people shared about their encounters were as amazing and wonderful as in any CommunionFire gathering but what was exciting was that for most this was a new experience.
Karen said during the bread it had a salt taste, saw salt rock in the bread. In the wine she heard water trickle down and then became rushing water that turned to wine over the salt rock and vines grew out of it. Instead of grapes, purple fireworks came from the vine.
Camille saw a beautiful wreath and had the sense that we were the wreath He put together this evening - JESUS was 'entwining' us together in Communion and The Miracle of CommunionFire.
Even with only 29 of us - we begin to understand what John said in the very last verse of the Gospels, 21: 25 "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." When Jesus shares in CommunionFire, it is simple to comprehend but profound in the ways it evolves, especially when sharing His table with others.

"The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea." Psalm 93
